Introduction

The novel begins with  Billy Budd gets drafted into the military service. Billy Budd leaves on a ship called "The Rights of Man" (Merchant ship) and forced to be on the "Bellipotent" (Warship).  Billy Budd was considered as one of the most handsome sailors and he was immediately chosen and taken aboard to the ship. Billy does well in his new surroundings. The other sailors like him as much as he was liked on the merchant vessel. He was placed in the topsails and had instance progress of making new friends with his companions..........
